Laurie

“Mom you will never believe who was in our fucking yard.” Laurie busted through her mother’s bedroom door. Dena was in the bathroom taking lines of heroin.

“Who?” she yelled from the other side of the door.

“Jazz. She was here with JT.”

Dena took another line. She put the plate of drugs under the sink. She then ran to the bathroom door.

“Jazz?”

“Yes.”

Dena thought about it for a minute. It really didn’t matter that Jazz knew where they stayed, Ken was dead from what she witnessed.

“Who cares, Ken and her daddy are dead. None of them can hurt us anymore.”

“Ken is dead?” Laurie was puzzled. Dena went on to tell her what happened last year. The day in San Francisco, when she went to kill him but the Italians beat her to it, and how she was almost killed herself.

“Mom, I am glad you got away. I can’t believe you never told me this. Now my brother can rest in peace. So that is why she is with JT. She no longer has Ken.”

“I guess so. I will warn JT about messing with her and bringing people to my house without permission.” Said Dena

“Ken is dead… Final fucking lee,” Laurie was talking to herself. “I need to go celebrate mom.” She walked out the room. Hearing the news about Ken was the best thing that happened all day.
